Saju compatibility: compare two real charts

Explore two Day Masters and their visible Five Elements side by side. This is a limited chart comparison, not a relationship score or a complete traditional compatibility reading.

Each visible stem and branch contributes one primary element: six symbols without an hour, eight with an hour. These are raw counts, not element strength or personality percentages. Hidden stems, seasonal weighting, combinations and clashes are not evaluated here.

Use local clock dates and whole hours. Unknown hours use noon provisionally for the other pillars and omit the Hour Pillar. This tool does not correct birthplace longitude, historical timezones or daylight saving; dates near midnight or solar-term boundaries need extra care. A zero count is not a personal deficiency.

Worked example: same month, different Day Masters

Try January 1, 2000 and January 3, 2000 with both hours unknown. This engine gives 己卯 for Year and 丙子 for Month in both charts, but 戊午 (Earth Day Master) for the first Day and 庚申 (Metal Day Master) for the second. Sharing a birth month does not mean sharing a Day Master. This is a reproducible engine example, not an independent accuracy certification.

Read the counts without turning them into labels

In that example, Person 1 has Wood 1, Fire 2, Earth 2, Metal 0 and Water 1. Person 2 has Wood 1, Fire 1, Earth 1, Metal 2 and Water 1. Each column totals six, because neither hour is known. Metal 0 means none of those six visible symbols maps primarily to Metal; it does not mean Person 1 lacks discipline, needs a Metal partner or needs to be fixed.

Turn the symbolism into a conversation

Earth generating Metal is a traditional symbolic relationship, not evidence that this pair will get along. An optional exercise: plan one shared weekend activity. Each person names one thing to plan and one thing to leave flexible; afterward, discuss what actually felt helpful. This is an editorial conversation prompt, not a personality conclusion calculated from either birthday.

Why there is no compatibility percentage

We do not have a validated model that converts birth charts into relationship success probabilities. A score such as 92% would imply precision this tool cannot support. Communication, values, consent and safety cannot be inferred from these counts. Use the comparison for cultural learning and reflection, never to decide whether to date, marry or leave someone.
